Breakfast at the Hotel – Sweet, salty, international, unique!

Waking up in an ancient Venetian Palace of XVI century, with the su that slightly filters from the window, is a unique emotion. It's official: our first day in Venice is beginning. Paul, the kids and I arrived last night, so we went immediately to bed. When we woke up this morning, we were starving, and we looked forward to try the renowned breakfast of the hotel we've heard so much about.

A breakfast room fit for a king

So we went down to the breakfast room... and we couldn't believe our eyes! In front of us there were a lot of tables with every kind of breakfasts! Sweet, salted, typically italian and international. Amélie and François' eyes sparkled: they had never seen a so large variety of desserts, cereals, fruit juice before. After we sat on the table, we started to explore the room.

I couldn't resist the tentation to take a delicious integral croissant, a cup of hot tea and a fresh fruit salad.

Paul opted for a salted breakfast, different from the usual: crispy bacon with rye bread: we were surprise that there was a whole gluten free menu for those who have gluten intolerance like Paul, so he could enjoy that moment with us.

The kids obviously held nothing and tried a bit of everything, without leaving a thing.

Another thing that surprised us was the attention for the origins of the products: everything is first choice, but most importantly they are kilometre zero products coming from the companies of the area, to guarantee the quality and the freshness, that you can recognize at first bite.

It was the first time that we had breakfast together in so long, without rushing and cheerfully: the chaotic everyday life takes away all the mornings like this, you know. Obviously everything was top-quality: it's from the little things like these that you truly understand when a hotel really loves its guests and wants them to live a unique experience. Now we don't have doubts anymore: our days here will always begin in the best way possible, and our stay in Venice will be unforgettable!
